Cake Class

Standard

For Christmas my sweet Mother gave me a gift card to JoAnn Fabrics. Oh, the things I could buy at JoAnn. I’ve been a busy crafter lately; however this isn’t about the crafts I’ve been up to. Instead of buying things for crafts, I purchased myself a few Wilton Cake Decorating classes: Level 1 & 2.

I needed something to get me out of the house, learning something, anything, and to start right away.

For the month of March I took this cake decorating class, once a week for two hours each class. I’ve only learned a few of the basics of piping and I’ve learned to make the Wilton Rose. Below is a picture of my final cake. It’s actually not 100% done. This cake was practice for a birthday cake I plan to make for my Nephew in California. It’s a turtle shell. I was thinking of adding a cupcake for the head. It’s not great, but it’s a start.
