Bordeom Busters

Standard

So, I’m not in school and I’m not working right now, so it’s easy to get bored here at home. I get emails from Martha Stewart for crafts and organizing. Some I like and some I don’t. I also learned about sugardoodle.net which is a great website for Sunbeam lesson helps and activities. Combining ideas and boredom I decided to make a flower pot with names so my Sunbeams can take turns. Also, this week I decided to make mini-quilts as the handout for this Sunday’s lesson.

Our lesson is about the Holy Ghost, and since He is a great comfortor and blankets usually are good at comforting, I gathered my scrap fabric and made 16″ X 16″ quilts. I wanted to make a fun design on it, but since I’m not an experienced quilter, I did square and then added the design on top. Now the sun can either stand for “Sunbeams” or “The Son of God”. Either way, the Holy Ghost is there to comfort us in time of need.
