By September Husband and I had accumulated enough Groupons to have a half day date at Navy Pier and only had to pay for half of the cost. Groupon seems to be the way we can afford to do all these fun things. (if you don’t know about Groupon, go check it out)
We started our festivities by going aboard a “tall ship” named “Windy”. We sailed on Lake Michigan as we helped hoist the sails and listened to pirate stories. The sails were heavy and Husband kept having to slow down so I could keep up. Being pregnant my strength wore out a lot quicker and was not able to finish and had to have help. I was a fun experience.
Then we went inside and had dinner at America’s Dog; a great hot dog joint. They have hot dogs from around the states made as each city would traditionally make them. I usually get the Dallas dog; chili and cheese.
Following dinner it was time to take our seats for “Romeo and Juliet” at the Shakespeare Theater. While the script was the same, the costuming was updated and more modern. A great night with the hubby.
